On behalf of the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Sciences Diversity Workgroup, I would like to extend a special invitation for you to attend our November 29th Grand Rounds presented by, Dr. Sayida Peprah. Dr. Peprah is a licensed clinical psychologist and will be presenting on Transgenerational Trauma and Resiliency of African Americans and Their Experiences of the Healthcare System.

Dr. Peprah is currently the Deputy Chief Psychologist at the U. S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, in Victorville California. In 2014, she was a featured speaker at the United Nations’ 65th annual NGO Conference on the topic of Mental Illness, An Invisible Disability. She has travelled the globe to places such as Ghana, Mexico, Egypt, and India, studying mental health approaches, indigenous cultures, and local spiritual traditions and teaches a course on diversity and cultural factors in psychology.
